Best Practices

Enrollment Service

According to the May 2007 issue of the Greentree Gazette, IUPUI for 2005-2006 had a total of 55,276 loans processed for an amount total of $325,350,694 and ranked 8th in the top 100 Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) schools.

Financial Aid offered two student sessions on campus to talk about financial literacy and money management.  Given the amount of student loan debt many students carry, this is an important initiative.  Additional resources are available from the Financial Aid Website.

Increased the number of students applying on-line.  In 2006 we had 34% of our students apply on-line and for 2007, we had 51% apply on-line.

Worked with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (ICHE) to launch theelectronic high school transcript. IUPUI was a pilot site for the launch and an advocate and promoter to high school guidance offices to utilize the Electronic Transcript.  Use of the Electronic Transcript will shorten the processing time for students in applying for admission to Indiana colleges and universities.

Redesigned and developed new web sites for prospective students --:
